Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Don't worry! A second chance to hunt is arriving in early February, bringing with it exciting new content and improvements. Here's everything you need to know about participating in Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Part 2.
Hunt a New Monster!
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the second Open Beta Test phase on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. This gives players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, you'll face a new challenge: hunting the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.
Returning beta testers can carry over their character data from the first beta, which will then transfer to the full game. However, remember that progress won't be saved between sessions. As a thank you for participating, you'll receive in-game rewards, including a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a helpful bonus item pack.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team received requests from players who missed the first or wanted another chance to play. While recent community updates highlighted upcoming improvements, these changes won't be included in the second beta test.
