Mistria's Essence Stones: Finding & Crafting Guide

Essence Stones are a new addition to *Fields of Mistria*, introduced in the March 2025 update. These stones are crucial for several new features, making them essential for daily tasks. This guide explains how to find, craft, and utilize Essence Stones of various sizes.

Where to Find Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Since the March 2025 update, Essence Stones have been discovered within chests located in the mines. While initially found while seeking offering items for the Fire Seal on Floor 60, chests can appear on any level across existing biomes and floors. Be cautious of mimic enemies disguised as chests; interaction will result in damage.

Essence Stones come in four sizes: tiny, small, medium, and large. Smaller stones are more common, but larger deposits can be found with diligent searching. If searching proves difficult, crafting them at the Stone Refinery is an alternative.

How to Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The Stone Refinery in *Fields of Mistria* allows for Essence Stone crafting. This location is part of a new questline added in the March 2025 update, requiring its construction within the mines. After completing prerequisite quests, Adeline will enlist your help alongside Olric and Errol.

Building the Stone Refinery requires:

• x200 Wood
• x400 Stone
• x5,000 Tesserae

Once built, you can craft Essence Stones of various sizes using Stone and Essence. The required amounts vary depending on the size:

**Tiny Essence Stone**	x5 Stone x5 Essence
**Small Essence Stone**	x10 Stone x25 Essence
**Medium Essence Stone**	x20 Stone x50 Essence
**Large Essence Stone**	x40 Stone x100 Essence

Beyond Essence Stones, the Stone Refinery crafts common materials, Refined Stone, and rare items like Obsidian and Diamond, making it a valuable hub for crafting supplies.

How to Use Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The March 2025 update introduced auto-petting and sprinkler mechanics. Both utilize Essence Stones, with larger stones providing longer durations. Large Essence Stones offer the longest charge.

The auto-petter, linked to the Animal Sprite Statue, automatically pets animals in Large Barns and Coops when an Essence Stone is inserted. This statue is found in a concealed cave near Errol's house (use Dragon's Breath). Crafting additional statues is possible after unlocking the item.

The sprinkler mechanic, unlocked with the Water Sprite Statue, automatically waters crops within a 2-tile radius while an Essence Stone is in use. This statue, along with a crafting scroll, is located on a small island east of the beach (use Dragon's Breath to access). Additional statues can be crafted.

Essence Stones are expected to have expanded uses in future Fields of Mistria updates from NPC Studio.
