Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Changes Detailed
NetEase Games has unveiled a comprehensive developer update outlining the exciting changes coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces Dracula as the primary antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debut immediately, with Human Torch and the Thing joining the fray six to seven weeks later.
The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Three new maps and a fresh game mode, "Doom Match," further enhance the gameplay experience.
Significant balancing adjustments are also in store. Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant forces, will receive nerfs to address their overwhelming power in higher-level matches. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will receive buffs to improve their battlefield effectiveness.
Further balance tweaks include improvements for Wolverine and Storm, encouraging more strategic utilization of these mutants. Cloak and Dagger also receive enhancements to improve their team compatibility. Adjustments to Jeff the Land Shark are also planned, addressing inconsistencies between his early warning indicators and ultimate attack hitbox. While his ultimate's power has been a point of discussion, NetEase Games hasn't detailed specific nerfs.
The update makes no mention of changes to the Seasonal Bonus feature, a point of contention amongst players. Season 1 promises a wealth of new content and gameplay refinements, generating considerable anticipation amongst the Marvel Rivals community.
