April is shaping up to be an exhilarating month for *Marvel Contest of Champions* players, with a lineup of thrilling additions and updates. One of the highlights is the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Born as Jessica Drew, she was exposed to uranium as a child, leading her father, a brilliant geneticist, to experiment with a blend of spider DNA to save her life. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the adverse effects but also emerged with extraordinary spider powers, eventually taking on the mantle of Spider-Woman. Fans can look forward to adding her to their roster starting April 17th.
Before Spider-Woman makes her debut, another champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Known as one of the most lethal assassins ever designed by the Founders, Lumatrix's abilities include infiltrating and eliminating targets using dazzling light-based powers.
What Else Is New?
On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with dramatic developments. Carina faces severe injuries after clashing with the forces of Ouroborus, while Doctor Doom forms an alliance with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of the Chronoserpent. Additionally, a new antagonist, Lotan, enters the scene, promising to shake up the storyline further.
Starting on April 9th and running through May 7th, a new Event Quest, "Spy Games," will challenge players. Black Widow is on a mission to uncover the secrets of the mysterious Eidols, and she'll be enlisting the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the mystery.
The formidable Dark Phoenix is set to return in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties." Players will need to track down a series of Champions targeted by her bounty to claim valuable rewards.
The Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector is making a comeback, offering players the chance to assemble their most powerful Saga champions and battle for Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
