KOF ALLSTAR Ends Its Reign

by Lillian Jan 10,2025

King of Fighters ALLSTAR is shutting down at the end of October 2024. Netmarble's announcement, posted on their official forums, confirms the October 30th closure date, with in-app purchases already disabled.

This news is surprising, given the game's six-year run and numerous high-profile collaborations. The game, based on SNK's King of Fighters franchise, has enjoyed considerable success.

According to Netmarble, a contributing factor to the closure is the depletion of characters available for adaptation from the KoF roster. While likely not the sole reason, this provides some insight into the decision.
