Before the full release, Larian Studios is holding a Patch 8 Stress Test in January 2025, giving select players early access to crossplay and other new features.
When Will Crossplay Arrive?
While a precise release date for Patch 8 is still under wraps, the January 2025 stress test will offer a sneak peek at crossplay functionality for participating players. This pre-release testing phase allows Larian to identify and fix bugs, ensuring a smoother launch for everyone.
How to Participate in the Stress Test:
To join the Patch 8 Stress Test and experience crossplay firsthand, register through Larian's official Stress Test registration form. You'll need a Larian account; create one or log in if you already have one. The registration process is simple and requires basic player information, including your preferred gaming platform (PC, PlayStation, or Xbox).
Important Note: Registration doesn't guarantee participation. Selected players will receive an email with further instructions. Participants will provide valuable feedback through dedicated forms and Discord channels.
Beyond Crossplay:
The stress test will also assess the impact of Patch 8 on various mods. Mod users and creators are encouraged to participate to help ensure compatibility.
