Google Play Store Might Soon Auto-Launch Installed Apps For You

Google Play Store may soon introduce a game-changing feature: automatic app launch upon installation. This potential addition, gleaned from an APK teardown, could eliminate the extra steps of locating and opening newly downloaded apps.

The Details:

According to Android Authority, the feature, tentatively named "App Auto Open," will be entirely optional. Users can enable or disable it based on their preference. Once activated, a notification will appear for approximately 5 seconds after an app finishes downloading, potentially accompanied by a sound or vibration for extra visibility. This ensures you won't miss the notification, even if you're multitasking.

The Catch:

Currently, this is based on an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19, meaning it's not yet officially confirmed by Google. There's no official release date available at this time. However, we'll update you as soon as Google provides more information.
