While *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* isn't open-world in the truest sense, its sizable map offers a significant area to explore. Early game exploration is straightforward, but as the story progresses and more provinces unlock, traversing the map can become a time-consuming chore, especially when juggling main story missions and numerous side quests requiring extensive backtracking.
Fortunately, mastering fast travel significantly streamlines navigation, proving invaluable for players aiming to complete all the game's content.
How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Fast travel in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* utilizes Waymarks. To use this feature, you must first unlock Waymarks by approaching them on the world map and holding the X button (PlayStation) or A button (Xbox). Once unlocked, these Waymarks appear on the map screen, enabling instant travel.

Accessing the map is easy. Outside of combat, interact with an unlocked Waymark on the world map, or pause the game and navigate to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation players can also quickly access the map by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map.

On the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark reveals nearby key locations and battles. To pinpoint a specific battle or location, press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to toggle information. Use Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to cycle through available battles and locations, then select your target to automatically move the cursor to the nearest Waymark.
