Kabam is set to enhance Marvel Contest of Champions with significant updates, launching the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a novel character type called Eidols. This month also honors the game's powerful female characters, giving players a chance to impact an upcoming Champion rework.
Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest additions to The Contest, bringing their unique abilities and a compelling new narrative. You can add Jean Grey to your roster starting March 13th, and Bastion will join on March 27th. Before their arrival, the Dark Phoenix Saga will commence on March 3rd, challenging Jean Grey and the X-Men to confront dangerous variants in an exciting new quest.
Moreover, the lore of Marvel Contest of Champions will expand with the introduction of more Eidols, furthering the Founders' storyline. Following the debut of Isophyne in December 2024, three more Eidols will be introduced throughout 2025, each with a unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, will debut on March 5th and be available until June 4th.
Lumatrix, designed by The Founders as a master infiltrator, is capable of spying, sabotaging, and assassinating with unmatched precision. Composed of ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix possesses extraordinary light manipulation abilities. While it dazzles with its performance, beneath the surface lies a ruthless weapon crafted to eliminate enemies while remaining undetected.
