Civilization VII: A Roadmap to Global Domination
Civilization VII's launch is imminent, with a release date set for February 11th, 2024. Deluxe and Founders Edition owners gain five days early access, starting February 6th. A day-one patch will also be deployed. The game will be available across all major platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, including Steam Deck compatibility.
Firaxis Games and 2K have declared the game "gold," signifying the completion of primary development and eliminating concerns of further delays. The game aims to set a new standard for turn-based 4X strategy.
Post-launch content is substantial and will arrive in two phases:
Crossroads of the World DLC (March Release): This DLC will be released in two parts.
- Part 1: Introduces Great Britain and Carthage as playable civilizations, along with the historical figure Ada Lovelace as a new leader.
- Part 2 (three weeks later): Adds Simon Bolivar as a leader and introduces Bulgaria and Nepal as new civilizations.
Right to Rule DLC (Q2/Q3 2025): This expansion will further enrich the Civilization VII experience with two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and new natural wonders.
Beyond the DLC, Firaxis promises ongoing enhancements. March will see the addition of new in-game events and natural wonders, including the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.
