A charming new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is coming to Android! The name itself is a playful combination of "cat" and "toast," perfectly reflecting the game's quirky premise. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers at Team Woll did, and the result is a delightful, physics-defying adventure.
Initially created for the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam, the game's positive reception led to its full development. It's currently available on Steam for PC, with an Android release and other platforms planned soon. While the Google Play store listing isn't yet live, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page.
Gameplay in Cato: Buttered Cat
This puzzle platformer lets you control both a cat and a piece of buttered toast. Work together to solve puzzles, overcome enemies, and explore five whimsical worlds filled with quirky contraptions. Over 200 levels, including side quests, and 30 unique outfits await! The story unfolds gradually, revealed through clues scattered throughout the gameplay.
The cat's agility and the toast's projectile capabilities create unique gameplay mechanics. Use the toast to propel the cat to otherwise inaccessible areas, adding a strategic layer to the puzzle-solving. The game also features hidden rooms and plenty of Easter eggs to discover.
