*Avowed* expands upon the rich fantasy world of Eora, first introduced in the *Pillars of Eternity* series. While the universe boasts a variety of Kith races, the character creator in *Avowed* offers a more limited selection of playable races. Humans (Known In-Universe as Folk)
Humans, referred to as Folk within *Avowed*, are the most prevalent race both in the game and in the character creator. As part of the broader Kith category, which includes various sentient and civilized species, humans offer a wide range of customization options. With numerous presets, detailed character customization tools, facial presets, a skin tone slider, and diverse hair textures, *Avowed* ensures players can craft a character that closely matches their vision and identity.
Elves
Elves are another selectable race in *Avowed*. They closely resemble humans but are distinguished by slightly different facial structures and the iconic long, pointy ears. The character creator provides customization options tailored to these unique features, allowing players to create a distinct elven character.
Godlikes
While not a separate race per se, Godlikes represent a third option in *Avowed*. All Envoys are Godlike in the narrative, but players can opt to display these unique features or not. Godlikes come with distinctive hair and facial features, ranging from subtle to surreal. At launch, *Avowed* offers 14 Godlike facial features and four Godlike hair options, available across all character races and body types.
