The reveal trailer, produced by the renowned anime studio Mappa (known for Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, and Chainsaw Man), features Michelle Yeoh reprising her role as Mei Yin from Ark: The Animated Series. The expansion promises numerous cinema-grade anime story sequences.
Studio Wildcard describes *Ark: Lost Colony* as a journey into a frozen world where players follow Mei Yin on a quest to uncover long-buried secrets of Ark's past. Survivors will face new challenges in a vast occupied city, gaining access to powerful abilities, unique gear, new building systems, and exotic tamable creatures. The narrative directly connects the storylines of *Ark*'s Extinction and Genesis expansions, setting the stage for *Ark 2*.Ark 2, powered by Unreal Engine 5, was initially announced in 2020 with a planned 2022 release.
