Escape the Cursed Forest: A Simple Non-Field RPG
Embark on a captivating journey as a seasoned hunter in this minimalist RPG. Your quest? Escape a cursed forest teeming with danger. The game features intuitive controls, requiring a maximum of three button presses at any given time (excluding the main menu).
Prologue: You, the village's best hunter, travel to a royal capital tournament. Upon waking after your first night camping, you discover a disturbing scene: the tournament grounds are deserted, leaving behind only the remnants of numerous hunters' camps. Your sense of direction, usually impeccable, fails you as you find yourself inexplicably lost within the cursed forest.
The Elven Curse: With the help of a mysterious quarter-elf named Foria, you'll unravel the secrets of the Elven Curse and fight for survival.
Character Creation: While character customization is limited, you can reroll your stats as often as needed before starting the game. Stats increase upon leveling up, but these increases are only visible on the character creation screen. This information is unavailable in-game. Losing all life force results in character death, unless you possess at least two talismans.
Foria, the Peddler Quarter-Elf: This enigmatic child-like figure secretly aids your escape, harnessing the forest's ancient spirits.
Gameplay:

Exploration: Navigate the forest by exploring unexplored areas. The success of exploration attempts is influenced by "fog depth," which is determined by your character's stats. If your life force is depleted, use poison or rare talismans to recover, potentially requiring a return to Foria.

Hunter Battles: Face ferocious beasts, from wolves to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields hides, useful for trading with Foria. Unlike traditional RPGs, battles are optional and don't provide experience points. Your bow and arrow are your primary weapons. Maintaining distance allows ranged attacks without counterattacks, though closing the distance risks a one-sided assault. You can choose to withdraw or use a "flash" ball (provided by Foria) to escape.

Cloak System: Craft a mysterious cloak from collected materials to enhance your abilities. The cloak can be layered up to three times, with each layer boosting your stats. However, the top layer can be damaged and eventually destroyed.
