Garena's Delta Force: A Global Tactical FPS Launch
Garena is bringing the tactical first-person shooter, Delta Force (formerly known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops), to a global audience. A PC Open Beta kicks off December 5th, 2024, with mobile open beta following in 2025. Originally developed by NovaLogic, the project was later acquired by Tencent's TiMi Studios (creators of Call of Duty Mobile), and now Garena is partnering with them for this global release.
The game will feature cross-progression between PC and mobile platforms. Garena and TiMi plan a 2025 launch across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Brazil, Central and South America, the Middle East, and North Africa.
What's in Store for Players?
Delta Force offers two main game modes:
- Warfare: Large-scale 32v32 battles across land, sea, and air. Players are divided into four-person squads.
- Operations: A three-player extraction shooter mode. Teams scavenge for loot, battle enemies, and race against the clock to reach extraction points. This mode features bosses, restricted areas, special missions, and a rare item, the MandelBrick, which unlocks exclusive skins (but reveals your location to other players).
Loot acquired can be used in future matches or exchanged for currency. Players can also loot defeated opponents.

A Nod to the Original
Garena and TiMi's Delta Force boasts sharp, realistic graphics and the tactical gameplay the franchise is known for. Fans of the original 1998 release will find plenty of nostalgic elements.
